Stump grinders for sale

Buying used stump grinders

Stump grinders remove tree stumps below ground level with a toothed cutter wheel. Smaller pedestrian and wheeled machines fit through garden gates, tracked machines handle slopes and soft ground, and larger towed and tractor-mounted grinders take on big stumps.

Check engine hours and service history, then the cutter wheel and teeth, which wear and are replaced. Look at the drive belts, bearings and any hydraulics for leaks, and on tracked machines check the tracks and rollers. Make sure the guards and operator controls work.

Makes include Toro, Rayco, Greenmech, Timberwolf and Forst. Filter by year and engine hours, and contact the dealer directly for details.
