Ride-on mowers for sale

Buying used ride-on mowers

Ride-on mowers and lawn tractors suit larger lawns and amenity areas where a pedestrian mower would take too long. Most have a rotary deck, and many have a grass collector, mulching kit or side discharge. Petrol is most common, with battery models now available too.

Check engine hours and service history, then the deck for rust, cracks and bent edges. Ask about the blades, belts and spindle bearings, and test the drive, brakes and blade engagement. On collector models, check the fan, chute and bag. On battery models, ask about battery age and health.

Common makes include Countax, Westwood, Cub Cadet, John Deere, Husqvarna, Stiga and Mountfield. Filter by year and engine hours, then contact the dealer directly.
